Making a Difference in Our Communities

At The Sunshine House, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve. Our schools are deeply rooted in their local areas, supporting organizations that share our vision of creating a brighter future for children and families.

Each Sunshine House school actively works to make a positive impact—whether through food drives, fundraising efforts, or partnerships with local shelters.

Give-a-Gobble: Fighting Hunger Nationwide

Every November, our annual Give-a-Gobble food drive collects thousands of pounds of non-perishable food for local food banks across the country, ensuring families in need have meals for the holidays.

Supporting Children’s Health & Well-Being

Many of our schools organize Trike-a-Thons to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, while others participate in charity walks and fundraising events for the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.

We also work with local family shelters and domestic violence shelters to provide welcome bags filled with books, crayons, and stuffed animals—small comforts that can make a big difference to a child in crisis.

Local Impact, Nationwide Commitment

Rather than choosing a single national nonprofit partner, we empower each school to support causes that matter most in their communities. The needs of families vary from state to state and from community to community.
